These Website Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the ACSAIR Academy website, including course content, challenge information pages, registration forms, test pages and related digital services (collectively, the Website). By accessing or using the Website, users agree to these Terms.

Definitions

  • “ACSAIR”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means Afrique Center for Statistics, Artificial Intelligence & Innovation Research and/or its Academy operations.
  • “ACSAIR Academy” means the learning and training platform through which courses, assessments and challenge content are offered.
  • “User” means any person who accesses or uses the Website.
  • “Participant” means a user who registers for and/or takes part in The Africa Food Sustainability Challenge (TAFSC 2026).
  • “Challenge” means the The Africa Food Sustainability Challenge (TAFSC 2026), including the course-linked test and prize process.
  • “Content” means all text, graphics, videos, learning materials, downloads, policies, trademarks and software made available on the Website.

Eligibility and Lawful Use

  • Users must provide truthful and complete information when registering or submitting forms on the Website.
  • Users must use the Website only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • If the Website or challenge is restricted to adults or a minimum age, users must meet the stated age requirement.

  • Course duration estimates are indicative and may vary by participant.
  • Challenge dates and timelines are subject to change where necessary for operational, legal, or fairness reasons.

Disclaimers

The Website and its content are provided on an as available and as is basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. ACSAIR does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or browser.

Educational content is provided for learning purposes and does not constitute legal, medical, financial or professional advice. Users remain responsible for how they apply course information in practice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ACSAIR shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Website, challenge pages, or course materials.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Republic of Uganda, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in a participant’s place of residence. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Uganda, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
